A&S Construction Company, LLC (formed through a partnership of GDS Construction and Alexander Construction, Inc) is a developer and builder of residential, commercial and, industrial projects specializing in cost-effective, energy-efficient building systems. Our principals have a combined history of over 90 years and $10 billion in the industrial, commercial and residential building industries. We specialize in the scientific, technical, and innovative areas of construction.
Through its partnership with Alexander Construction and John Alexander Research, A&S also offers over 50 years experience in building, maintaining and resolving issues with potable and waste water treatment systems.
The company's corporate headquarters is in Scottsdale, Arizona with additional offices in Cayucos, California and Santa Fe Springs, California. John Alexander Research is located in Santa Fe Springs, California.

A&S is a company with the backgroud and expertise of its two owners, John A. Alexander, PhD and George A. Sutherland. Their combined experience equals an outstanding 90 plus years of successful projects in the industrial, commercial and residential building industries.

Commercial projects include:
* Landing pad and mantenance building at Vendenberg Air Force Base for NASA's Space Shuttle Program
* Soccer stadium in Venezuela
* Kalihiwai Bridge in Hawaii on the main island.
* 37 story Bank of America building along with the Amercian Bridge in Los Angeles, CA.
* San Diego Naval Medical Center
* Science Center building up the roofing for the Minnesota Vikings Stadium.
* Number of mid-rises all over the United States.
Residential projects include:
* Town homes in Apache Junction, AZ. Built with B-Lite Form Panel ILO 'stick frame' construction.
* Currently building a residential subdivision n Phoenix, Arizona
Future projects include:
* Resort developent projects in Tobago, Aruba and Antigua
* 2,200 unit affordable housing project outside of Mexico City, Mexico.
* Upscale housing and water treatment project outside of Rocky Point, Mexico.
Water Treatment Developments include:
* Researching and developing alternative forms of environmentally friendly energy.
* Developed the technology necessary to treat water inexpensively
* Researching and development of better methodologies for water treatment and conservation
* Capability and technology to use all sewage water in a way that will benefit the environment
Our Key Executives
John A. Alexander,PhD, Managing Director
Dr. Alexander has been has built and designed thousands of industrial buildings. John engineered and designed the concrete tilt-up construction methods used in so many buildings today. Dr. Alexander was the Science Advisor for President Ronald Reagan as well as advisor to several other Us Presidents and Universities across the nation. John was the 152nd person to be inducted into the Internationsl Who's Who Hall of Fame. John has been instrumental in developing technologies for the cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly treatment of waste water. Dr. Alexander was nominated the Scientist of the Year by the International Biographical Association. John Alexander Research scientists are currently makng strides to control global warming and alternate energy.
George A. Sutherland, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sutherland has over 35 years in the construction industry. George as worked in the field for one of the nation's largest steel fabricators and was the youngest to be promoted to Vice President of Marketing. George has owned several companies including a steel fabrication company with plants in the USA and Mexico specializing in large industrial and commercial construction projects. George started his own construction company in the US, South America and Asia; specializing in large commercial construction and industrial projects from 1980-1994. Mr. Sutherland provided a government agency (USAID) with a turnkey Moil Concrete and Steel Tilt Wall Panel Plant. George is currently the Chief Executive Officer of A&S.
